Installing all kind of custom scenery.

In this tutorial I'll explain you how to install all Kind of Custom in Rct3.

First of all I will explain some words:

- CSO (=Custom Scenery Object)
- CFR (=Custom Flat Ride)
- CT (= Custom Track)
- CTR (= Custom Tracked Ride)

1. Installing cso:

Installing cso isn't that difficult, but sometimes a special installation is required, in case of that, you certainly need to read the "Readme" that's always in the download. If not, you need to do the following things:

- Open the unzipped map and check if there are 2 files and at least one map visible. If not, you'll probably see another map. In case of that you open it, untill you see 2 files (a *common.ovl and a *Unique.ovl file)
(Like in the picture)

Now you need to copy the map where the 2 files are in located (no maps "above this one", to C/:/Program Files/Atari/RollercoasterTycoon3/Style/Themed. And your done. Razz

1.a. Installing Normal cso:

When you've downloaded some cso, you need to unzip it first. You can do this with "Winrar/Winzip"
After you've done this, you should see a map (and mostly a Readme). In the readme, you can find further instructions, but i'll explain it here for you.

Everything together:

-> Unzip
-> The unzipped map is visible.
-> Check the map
-> Copy the map to C/:/Program Files/Atari/RollercoasterTycoon3/Style/Themed.
-> Enjoy using your CS.

ERRORS:

The most frequent error is the "No: svd for :sid" When this error occurs, you have placed a map on the wrong place.
So I would Recommend You to install one CS-set at once, to be sure which CS is the problem! Somethimes, it could be the makers' fold, and then you can't use the cs.
If this error occurs, you have forgotten to install "Particle Effects" These things are effects such as "mist" etc. Mostly there's in the readme from the download how to instal, but if not, just follow these steps:

-> Search in the unzipped map for files with the extension (*.frw)
-> Copy them to C/:/Program Files/Atari/RollercoasterTycoon3/ParticleEffects. !Not the folder PARTICLES!

Now everything should work fine

2. Installing Custom Flat Rides:

Installing Custom Flat Rides isn't very difficult. First of all, you need to create a new folder that's called "Custom". Create this folder in
C/:/Program Files/Atari/RollercoasterTycoon3/Style.

Now you should have something like this
--> C/:/Program Files/Atari/RollercoasterTycoon3/Style/Custom.
Now you have to follow the readme that's in the download from the CFR.
But normally you've to put everything in the map "Custom".

3. Installing Custom Tracked Rides:

If you want to install Custom Tracked Rides, (= Custom cars), You need to copy two maps into two different folders.

1. The map "Cars" you've to copy to

C/:/Program Files/Atari/RollercoasterTycoon3/Cars/TrackedRideCars.

2. The map "Tracks" You've to copy to C/:/Program Files/Atari/RollercoasterTycoon3/Tracks/TrackedRides.

!Please Check the README in order you copy the right folder. In the README always should be mentionend what folder the "Cars" are in and what folder the "Tracks" are !

4. Installing Custom Tracks:

For installing Custom Tracks, you'll need to have the CTR-Creator.

First of all, download a custom track. For now, there only are 3 Custom Tracks, so it should be the "Guided Track", "The Invisible Track" or the "Junior Boomerang Track". (You can download them here Click).

Once downloaded one of these, follow the Readme.
You have to copy a map from the Download into the same folder as the CTR-Creator
Now open the CTR-Creator Program. Click on the button "Install/Uninstall CTR",in the upper right corner. Now select the map you've just copyd in the map from the CTR-Creator. Now click Install and you're done!

! I would recommend you to follow the README file that's in the download for installing everything well!
